“Promises and pie-crust are made to be broken.” the expression that
was popularized by Jonathan Swift has always bugged me. See, I am by nature a
lover of the idea that humans in their core are driven by goodness; therefore I
want to -so much- believe that handshakes and pinky-squares are made in good
faith. (Although I admit that as a thirty-something year old I have my share of
un-kept promises.) It is through this
blog that I want to prove that promises are to keep, and Promises and Pie Crust is a promise to myself:
A promise to cook.
A promise to share.
A promise to pass on the warmth
and wonder of home-cooking.
